🤍My favorite teacher was Mrs. Richardson, third grade. I teach third grade and I often think about her when I am teaching. Especially, when I hear my students laugh, play, and learn, my heart just melts. I don’t think I could ever leave the classroom. (even if I tried) 💕

✨I pray, that despite the struggles you face, may you encounter a moment today that will melt you and remind you, of your why.

Year 18 begins… and the love for this work still runs deep. 🫶🏼
From my very first classroom to now entering dissertation seminar, my hubby has been my biggest fan through it all, every degree, every late night, every step forward. 📚🎓

He’s been right there beside me from field trips and classroom setups to take-downs and lunch dates squeezed into busy days. His steady support is one of my greatest blessings.

Scrapbooking and came across these “old” pictures of myself. As I reflect and think about my life up until now, what would I tell my 25-year-old self….
🤍I’d say:
“Mija, breathe. You’re stronger than you know, and your story is just beginning. Trust God’s timing, don’t rush the process, and never doubt your worth. The setbacks you’re facing now will one day be the reason someone else keeps going. Keep going, your future self is so proud of you. You’ll raise brilliant children, stand before classrooms and conferences, and walk boldly into rooms you never imagined of. Keep going. God is with you every step, every struggle, every sacred win.” 💪🏽✨🌻
