Instagram Jail

Hey guys, I am writing this post today because I had recently heard about people going to Instagram jail and Facebook jail. Surely I was skeptical, and didn’t pay much attention … Until it happened to me! And who knows, before you know it, we will probably have Snapchat jail for all it’s worth, haha!

Anyhow, last night while doing my weekly IG posts and liking a couple of stories, my instagram account went straight to jail. At first I had no clue I was locked up in the infamous InstaJail. I thought my phone was acting up because my phone was pinging with all my instagram notifications for likes, comments, and messages, but I was unable to see them or interact with them on the actual platform.

Thinking it was a glitch, I logged out and logged back in, with no prevail. I then proceeded to delete and re-install the app, and still no luck. It was then that I remembered reading on the #SocialMediaBoss Facebook group about such thing… INSTAGRAM JAIL! I quickly proceeded to googling, “instagram jail” and to my surprise I was “locked” up!

I am actually laughing as I write this post, because in my opinion this is funny yet ridiculous! Isn’t that what social media is all about liking, commenting, and posting (rolling my eyes)? After realizing I was in INSTAJail, I found and read through several blog posts about Instagram Jail. This one from The Social Media Posse, made the most sense to me. I mean, I was simply catching up on my “niches” posts and liking & reposting some of their posts. Besides that, the only thing I did different was post two stories back to back! I tend to post once a week, and like pictures daily.

Needless to say, I’m writing to confirm, that IG jail is real, I was locked out of my account for 15+ hours, which for us teacher friends, is a long time! I was able to see my account, but I could not interact with anything or anyone! Interestingly, I did not get a notification or message stating I was locked out, in jail, or banned temporarily, nor did I get a message when I was allowed back in!

What I did do, was, I temporarily logged out (to keep me from checking every hour and exercise patience) AND I changed my account from business back to personal, which I may leave as is for a while. One of the blogs I read, stated Instagram’s algorithm targets business accounts, to make sure we are not “spamming” and bombarding followers or other users. Apparently it’s in the terms of use. However, I do not  feel I was  violating any terms or conditions. I may have liked one to many pictures (but what teacher doesn’t do that) and I “re-posted” another teacher’s story! Come on Instagram! Anyhow, Anoukh and the sea has an amazing blog post and what to do and how to handle IGJail, if you’re ever in this situation! I followed her advice, and now I am happily out of Instagram Jail!!! Yay!

So, with that in mind, Happy Sunday to all my wonderful teacher friends! May you have a fabulous Instagram week and try and stay out of Instagram Jail (pun intended)!

What do you think? What are your thoughts or feelings on this? Do any of you have a similar experience? Let me know in the comments below! 😉

💞Laura

The 2025–2026 school year came full circle for me. The 2025–2026 school year came full circle for me. ❤️

When I first started at my school, I remember being mesmerized by teachers who had been there for 20+ years. I thought to myself, how amazing is that? Well… that was 18 years ago for me.

And this year? 🥺😭😍 I had the absolute privilege of teaching the sweetest, kindest little girl who reminded me so much of her mom… a former student I once knew when I was her 5th-grade student teacher at this exact same school!

Yes, you read that right, my career came full circle this year.

As if that wasn’t celebration enough, I also had the honor of being the kindergarten teacher for this year’s Class of 2026 seniors… and somehow, by God’s perfect timing, I was also their 5th-grade teacher.

Ending this school year on such a high note has filled my heart with gratitude and joy. I truly love my job, and I love what I do.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎓✨ And to my future students… I can’t wait to be your teacher next year.

Love,
Mrs. Bryant 💕 #Tchr888

I’m partnering with @nm_hca to help share important updates about changes to SNAP benefits in New Mexico.

These federal changes may affect some people when they apply for benefits or go through their renewal process. The goal is simply to make sure everyone understands what’s changing and how to stay connected to support.

If you or someone you know receives SNAP benefits, here are a few important reminders:

• Check that your contact information is current
• Open and read all mail from the Health Care Authority
• Ask if you qualify for exceptions or support programs
• Keep track of work or volunteer hours if required

The most important thing is staying informed so you can keep your benefits if you’re still eligible.

Sometimes a simple coffee break turns into somethi Sometimes a simple coffee break turns into something a little more special 🤎

Tried @fizzpresso25 for the first time today, and the smell of their espresso alone had me hooked ✨rich, warm, the kind that makes you pause for a second before that first sip.

I ordered the Teddy Bear Latte and it did not disappoint… smooth, just the right touch of sweetness, and still strong enough to give me that little reset I needed.

But of course, I couldn’t just think about myself.
I picked up a banacha matcha latte and a strawberry matcha quencher and made a little delivery out to my baby girl and my hubby at the farm 💛

Those small moments, coffee in hand, sharing something sweet with the people I love,
that’s what fills my cup in more ways than one.

@fizzpresso25 already my fave!

Bilingual anchor charts are more than classroom dé Bilingual anchor charts are more than classroom décor, they are intentional tools that make thinking visible in both languages and affirm the brilliance our bilingual learners bring every day. In a dual language classroom, teaching for biliteracy means creating spaces where students can make connections across languages, transfer skills, and see their identities reflected in the learning process. When we anchor learning in both languages, we are not just teaching content, we are building confidence, voice, and academic power.

How are you using bilingual anchor charts to support biliteracy and honor your students’ linguistic strengths? 💬✨
